Earlier today, we learned of the death of Emmy-winning Schitt’s Creek producer and creator Ben Feigin. The 47-year-old was diagnosed with cancer in early 2016, but decided to keep it a secret until his treatments were over. “I purposely avoided talking about it, because I didn’t want to be defined by illness," he said. "It’s been a really hard year." Childhood Ben Feigin, an Emmy-winning producer of Schitt's Creek, died of cancer at 52. Feigin was born in Toronto and raised in Thornhill, Ontario.
